Note: I've been trying to teach myself how to use videos as part of the blog. The following is a rough attempt. I have much to learn on the editing/formatting side of this. Something different:
As always, I'm open for criticism.

Well done!
ReplyDeleteI checked the gold "bubble" this morning: over $1,515, not surprisingly. BTW, "strategic resources" is, to the Chinese, usually a euphemism for OIL.
"Five-minute Krugman" we should call him. And a Nobel-winning economist should know that global trends unfold SLOWLY...
Very nice; Krasting's corner. I visit every day!
ReplyDelete(Thanks Yancey)
A common format for these things involves the use of an "interviewer" as a foil. I think our brains are wired to be more attentive to dialogue, even when it's a transparent device to feed slow pitches to a well-rehearsed DH. This is just food for thought, not criticism; I hope you're open for praise as well, since I think your blog is indispensable.
ReplyDeleteI dug you up from ZH. Perhaps I have been lazy relying on ZH to procure my daily knowledge. This occurred to me after seeing your blog in original form for the first time, regardless of all the times I parsed through your words posted on ZH with much enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteYou do make a difference, even if in small, incalculable ways.
I can link to you via your blog post here, but do keep in mind how to market your youtube!
Regards,
Cooter
ha. that was fun. you sound like an IB exec. i though i was listening to jamie d on a conference call.
ReplyDeletehad to pause the clip a couple of times to read the charts. so i guess this format would work for light topics, but the insightful numbers heavy posts, which is where you add value, might work better in writing.
Tks for the suggestions. I had fun doing this so look for more. And yes, I learned a thing or two and the suggestions here and elsewhere are helpful.
ReplyDeleteliked it, keep doing it, thanks
ReplyDeleteOT: I once heard Zakaria introduce Paul Krugman and Bjorn Lomborg as climate science experts on CNN. So given how low he sets the bar for expertise, his willingness to talk crap about the bond market doesn't surprise me at all. My understanding is that he's a Yale graduate.
